I have created this privacy policy to explain, according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, what information I collect, how I use data, and what choices you have as a visitor to this website and as a patient in my psychotherapy practice.
Automatic Data Storage When Visiting the Website
When you visit my website, my web server (the computer on which this website is stored) automatically saves data such as the IP address of your device, the addresses of the subpages visited, details of your browser, and the date and time. I generally do not pass this on but cannot exclude that this data may be viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.
Data Collection and Processing During Psychotherapy
According to the Psychotherapy Act §16, psychotherapists are required to keep records. For this purpose, I collect and process the following data from you: Personal data (title; salutation; last name and first name; address, city, postal code; telephone number). Special category personal data (health data): Psychotherapists must record every psychotherapeutic measure taken, including: History of the problem and any illness, as well as previous diagnoses and the course of the illness; start, course, and end of the psychotherapeutic services; type and extent of diagnostic services, counseling or treatment interventions, and results of any evaluation; agreed fee and any other agreements from the treatment contract, especially with any legal representatives; provided clarification steps and documented information; consultations with professionals or other health professions; transmission of data and information to third parties, especially to health insurance carriers; any recommendations for supplementary medical, clinical-psychological, health-psychological, or music therapy services or other clarifications; access to documentation and reasons for refusing access to documentation.
Storage Duration
The legal retention period for psychotherapists regarding personal data requires that this data must be archived for at least 10 years after the end of psychotherapy.
